Platform Backend team is backbone of MoEngage upon which every service at the company relies. Every service we own has to be highly scalable, available, fault tolerent and deals with very high traffic across the company. As a Technical Lead of our team, besides getting to work and experience with systems of such high scale, here is what you can expect

• Being responsible for systems end to end - ideation to development to delivery
• Interfacing with Product Managers, across teams to understand the requirements and deliver accordingly
• Keeping scalability/availability/resilience in mind while building.
• Following best practices to improve the product quality in the long run
• Ensuring that the SLA/SLO, cost objectives of the services are maintained and improved upon
• Mentoring other team members and help them build the right solutions

Expectations :

• B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science.
• Minimum 7-9 years of hands-on developing experience with strong background in algorithms
• Good knowledge on developing backend applications with expertise in backend programming languages - Python and Java.
• Should understand the performance metrics for a system viz. time and space complexities.
• Experience with Time Series Database such as InfluxDB, VictoriaMetrics is a plus.
• Insights on workings of Database, Queues, Cache, servers and leveraging the best mix of them to get the result needed.
• Experience working with NoSQL DBs like MongoDB, ScyllaDB/Cassandra
• Experience designing complex systems all the way from ideation phase to taking it live on Production
• Awareness of Secure Development process and practices
• Awareness on Information Security concepts and Best Practices
