System Administrators


Key responsibilities:

  • Administer, maintain, and support Linux operating systems. Builds and maintains web, virtual, and client server environments for the enterprise.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves any IT service issues related to operating systems and servers; partners with the other infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve related issues
  • Change Management: Prepare Implementation plan, rollback plan and test plan, risk and impact analysis for critical or complex changes. Review the change plan and documentation prepared by level 2 engineers or peers.
  • Participate in CAB meetings as needed and assist change manager in techno-operations decision process
  • Install hardware and software, maintain appropriate service levels, performance tuning and firmware upgrades across multiple hardware platforms.
  • Perform system software upgrades including planning / scheduling, testing, coordination, and maintaining integrity of operating system environment.
  • Harden operating system parameters in line with client / security policy, standards or best practices.
  • Respond to outages both during normal business hours and after-hours on a need basis (on-call support).
  • Coordinating and interfacing with outside vendors, end users, other department team members, and service providers to resolve issues.


Requirements :

  • 4-7 yearsโ€™ experience relevant to stream
  • Mandatorily Linux and VMware
  • Knowledge of hardware administration (Physical servers, Enclosures)
  • HP servers , Dell Servers ,ย Cisco UCS ,Oracle / Sun Sparc
  • Experience in Virtualization technologies VMware
  • Scripting experience (Shell, Perl, Python etc.)
  • Working knowledge on Openshift cluster administration
  • Exposure to ansible, Grafana, influx, prometheus tools
  • Knowledge on docker, kuberbetes, helm, Jenkins, ELK
  • Good understanding of operational framework like ITIL/ITSM, operations process.
  • Basic knowledge of storage and networking


General Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills โ€“ verbal and written
  • Willingness to work in shifts and provide on call support in a 24x7 environment.
