The Client

The company provides global corporate verification services, offering software products and personnel for customer and employee onboarding, probity, and due diligence monitoring. They integrate technology and human expertise to deliver turnkey solutions for compliance, productivity, and risk management. Established in 2006, they offer both outsourced verification services and scalable software for large enterprises.

The Role

Are you an experienced Software Engineer looking for an opportunity to progress your career in a hands-on leadership role? You could be joining a rapidly growing fintech company that is expanding globally, working on the core API of the world leading onboarding product from us.

As a Lead API Engineer you will collaborate closely with the CTO to translate high-level technical vision into actionable strategies and oversee the successful execution of complex projects. Your focus will be on expanding the existing API and its connections to leading products like Salesforce, Oracle, SAP and others, as well as building stand alone connections to a multitude of the third party data sources globally, including government agencies, credit bureaus, and identity verification solutions.

This is a work from home role, with daily interactions with a global team based in the UK, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, designing, building and supporting the growth of an exciting and powerful SaaS product, taking the financial world by storm.

Requirements

• You are an experienced Software Engineer with a strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
• API Design, standards development and documentation both for internal API’s and external
• The stack? Think Node, Mongo.
• Build full modules, enhancements, and bug fixes
• Restful API development to third party systems, and enhance our own.
• Ownership - take ideas and turn them into some great new feature.
• Work in an agile-based development environment.
• Produce accurate estimates for user stories.
• Review code, ensure quality and security criteria is met.
• Support the product, architect it for success!
• Collaborate with the engineering team in Australia, Malaysia & Ukraine in software design sessions, code reviews, architecture, and other engineering activities.

Qualifications

• Attitude: Enthusiastic and positive, with a desire to contribute and create exceptional software.
• Initiative: We value candidates who take the initiative, evidenced by personal projects, apps, businesses, or other endeavours that demonstrate their ability to think beyond given tasks.
• Communication skills: Strong verbal and written English skills are essential.
• Technical skills: Hands-on experience with our tech stack is a requirement. This includes React, Node, and experience with a document database like MongoDB.
• Lead API Developer should have 5+ years of experience, with additional skills in team management and software architecture.
