Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Apigee Level 3

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Level 3 will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, availability, and performance of Google Anthos & Apigee systems. This is a Tech Lead role and will work closely with senior SREs, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the services meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor system performance and availability across GCP and Anthos environments.

• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes. • Escalate issues to senior team members as needed.

• Assist in developing and maintaining automation scripts and tools to improve efficiency.

• Participate in the creation of monitoring dashboards and alerting systems.

• Collaborate with senior SREs to identify and implement improvements in system performance and reliability.

• Conduct performance testing and capacity planning

• Document processes, incident reports, and troubleshooting guides.

• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of system status and issues.

• Continuously learn and apply new skills and technologies relevant to the SRE role

. • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge.

Skills:

• 6-7 years of experience in 24x7 support of enterprise level applications

• Graduate in Computers, Engineering or similar educational qualification

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

• Knowledge of Apigee development tools & JavaScript / Node.js

• Basic knowledge of monitoring tools

• Experience with Apigee, Kubernetes, GCP, Anthos, and Bare Metal.

• Knowledge of Apigee development tools & JavaScript / Node.js

• Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking concepts.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
